Birth photography is documentary photography.  It tells the story of the hours surrounding your baby’s arrival, one of the most important days of your life.  Birth photography is similar to a wedding in that it happens over many hours and it takes many images to tell the story.  It differs in that babies set their own schedule so we usually don't know the day or time you will need me.   I could be with you 6 hours or 16 hours depending on the length of your labor, and you might need me at 2am or 2pm, I will be ready!

Photos will be shot in the natural and ambient lighting available in the room.  All of your final edited photos will be delivered in black and white which softens the graphic nature of birth and the medical equipment in the room.  Since your baby's arrival will have many images telling the story, and it is important that you have a professional finished product highlighting your favorite images to enjoy for the rest of your life and to pass down when your baby has his/her own family.  And it is so meaningful to sit with your baby each year on his/her birthday and flip through a beautiful album and share the story again.

My {BIRTH} sessions include:

  • An in-person consultation at a local coffee shop to get to know each other, answer your questions, and let you see sample albums and products. We'll sign a contract and add you to my calendar with a $500 non-refundable hold-the-date fee. I encourage for your partner to join us for this consultation since I'll be spending a very personal long day with you both.

  • I will be on-call for two weeks surrounding your due date to come to the hospital, day or night.

  • Photography coverage from active labor (approx. 6 - 7cm dilated) through up to two hours postpartum. 

  • A Sneak Peek gallery will be shared on the Augusta Birth Photography Facebook page for clients who request it.

  • Approximately 4-weeks after your baby arrives, your {BIRTH} gallery will be available online in a password-protected gallery.  If you have an "Add-On" session in your package, those images will be presented to you in person at a Proofing and Purchasing Session and you choose the products & images to purchase at that time. 

  • I offer a free Baby Registry so family and friends can purchase certificates toward ANY of your sessions as a gift.  I also give a large referral credit to current clients toward your session if you send friends to me who book their own {BIRTH} session.

Simply {BIRTH} - $2195

  • 10 x 10-inch, 10-spread/20-page, custom designed professional quality coffee table album with your choice of a linen or leather cover, printed with 70 images from your gallery.  
     
  • FIVE gift prints (8x10-in. and smaller) from your {BIRTH} session.
     

Classic {BIRTH} - $3150

  • 10 x 10-inch., 15-spread/30 page, custom designed professional quality coffee table album with your choice of a linen or leather cover, printed with 100 images from your gallery. 
     
  • 100 edited, high resolution, digital files of the images in your album with personal printing rights.  In addition, a watermarked social media sized file of the same images are included as well for online sharing.  

  • ONE complimentary *Add-On* session ($600 value) with a $500 print credit to use toward prints, albums, wall art, or digital files from that session.

Signature {BIRTH} - $4250

  • A 12 x 12-inch., 25-spread/50 page, custom designed professional quality coffee table album with your choice of a linen or leather cover, printed with as many images from your gallery as you would like.
     
  • ALL final edited, high resolution, digital files on a flash drive with personal printing rights.  In addition, a watermarked, social media sized file of the same images for online sharing. 
     
  • TWO complimentary *Add-On* sessions ($1200 value) with a $1000 print credit ($500 for each session) to use toward prints, albums, wall art, digital files, etc.

  • Highlights slideshow video set to music from your {BIRTH} on a flash drive.

 

Add-On Sessions
There is no need to hire multiple photographers to cover the milestones of your pregnancy and baby's first year!!  "Add-On" sessions are 60-min., photographed in a candid, unposed, real life, & documentary style to highlight the love and relationships of your family.  No matching clothing or "say cheese" in these sessions!!  The session fee is waived with the Classic and Signature {BIRTH} Collections.  Use the print credit to purchase prints and products from your Add-On session.  We will have a Proofing & Purchasing session 3-4 weeks after where your gallery is revealed.  No online gallery viewing is available for Add-On sessions.

Session date, times & location must be coordinated with me to ensure availability and must be within 25 miles of 30809.  On average, clients typically invest $750-$2000+ on prints and products from their Add-On session before the print credit is deducted.


Please note:

  • A $500 non-refundable hold-the-date fee is due to hold your {BIRTH} due date on my calendar.
  • Add 8% Georgia sales tax to all sessions.
  • Card can be provided to add in your baby shower invitations if you choose to use the complimentary Baby Registry.
  • Gift prints (8x10-in. and smaller) are $50.  Wall art starts at $450.  Albums start at $895.  Digital files are $200 each.  Clients typically invest $750 - $2000+ on the prints, albums, and wall art for their home.  A detailed pricing guide is available at our first consultation.
